The Washington single member LLC operating agreement is How to Write Step 1 –

For the state of Washington, we offer a Single Member and a Multi-Member LLC Operating Agreement, which are both designed to remove the amount of liability an entity owner can receive from his or her entity, to prove ownership of an entity, and to generally organize and smooth-out a company. In addition to those main purposes, our LLC Operating Agreements also allow for the creation of bylaws within an entity, document the daily routine of a company, and record the different manager and employee positions in the entity. Below we give the step-by-step process for creating an entity in the state of Washington, which is the first step an aspiring business owner should take, and must be completed before one of our LLC Operating Agreements.

How for File an Entity in Washington:

Note: The first step that should be taken by the entity owner is to scan the Washington Secretary of State Business Search page for any companies that have already taken the entity owner’s planned company name. If the planned entity name is still available, continue to Option 1 or 2.

Options 1 (Online):

To apply online, go to the Washington filing page here and follow the steps required for completion. The application should take roughly 10 minutes to complete at a normal pace. Once you have completed the application, you must pay the fee online, which costs $200.

Option 2 (Paper):

Download one of the blue, underlined forms below, print, and fill-in with eligible handwriting.

Domestic- This application is for individuals looking to create an entity original to Washington.

Foreign – The Foreign Application is for individuals who have already created a company in another state, and are looking to introduce a business in Washington for the first time.

Professional – The Professional application is for companies that will be holding professional licenses, such as a medical or attorney office.

Helpful Tips:

– Apply for an EIN (Employer Identification Number) at the IRS’ website here. Having an EIN number allows the owner(s) of an entity to create a bank account in the company’s name.
– Utilize one of our LLC Operating Agreements to ensure the owner(s) of a company are protected from financially damaging liability, and to improve the overall efficiency of a company.
